I received a very sweet e-mail from an old friend of mine, Z. Z and I were friends since primary school. We had lost touch during our secondary school years as I had changed schools so many times. We had lots of crazy times together, and laughed over the silliest of things.
She asked me how the baby project was coming along and I replied, no progress at all. She wrote me a lengthy e-mail on lots of support and encouragement. She told me not to worry and that the stork will arrive eventually…. He just got the address mixed up! How sweet is that! Her e-mail made me laugh out loud at the office. I love her for that. It made me feel better right away.
I just hope that stork does get the address right! He must be from Post Malaysia! Never get the posts to the right house!
I also told her scared I was of childbirth and post natal blues. She simply said that child birth pains are seriously over rated. Just do as the doctor says and DON'T hold your hubby's hand cos it won't make the pain go away, on the other hand, might break his hand! She's so funny. Child birth is between you and god, she says, just hang on to the side of the bed and push when the doctor says so!
About post natal blues, just think of it as just hormones. Don't read crap from things like the newspapers and magazines cause it would only make you feel worst. It will past. As when you see the baby, all them blues will just melt away.
Hehe Z, you just have the funniest way of making things better. I missed you lots when we lost touch. I am so glad we are in contact again.

ReplyDeleteas u have visited my blog, i am having my 3rd child. alhamdulillah, i do not a hard time conceiving but i surely do know what u're going thru (spent 2 mths trying to do what i was suppose to do teying to conceive).
make sure u take lots of vitamins. folic acid is good for u. exercise is also good. and also if u have tried for more than a year, make sure u see a gynae for checkups ok!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice. We are taking it as it comes right now. Does not really help as hubby travels a lot nowadays. Meanwhile, am maximising life and my time. Am also trying not to get too stressed about it.
